The Work in Progress team developed a prototype of a portion of the sculpture to test the following aspects of the project in full scale:
Interior framing and structural design
Material specifications
Visibility in different light levels
Extent of coverage
Potential image distortion
Suitability of images in terms of contrast, intensity and animation
Angle and positioning of projectors
Function and fit in the space day-to-day and during special events
